(1) Park Burger vs. (5) Jack-n-Grill
How did we get here? Well, Park Burger dispatched of Griff’s Hamburgers fairly easily in the first round, while Jack-n-Grill had a mini-upset by beating the heralded Steuben’s in the green chile cheeseburger battle.
This Sweet Sixteen match-up pits the classic burger joint against a New Mexican restaurant that just so happens to have delicious burgers on the menu. The burgers at Park Burger just work. Each of their many different burger options find a way to be a little self-contained bundle of joy, with all of the ingredients fitting together nicely with a perfectly cooked burger patty to make a fantastic burger each and every time. Every aspect of their burgers is where it should be and done well. Nothing is out of place, and everything just seems to meld together perfectly between the soft but substantial buns.
Jack-n-Grill on the other hand packs the flavor in with brute force. Their burgers are overflowing, with some many toppings that your mouth goes on a joy ride with each bite. Yes it’s spilling out all over the place, but that’s what their oversized buns are for, right? The sheer amount of food and flavor are enough to satisfy any burger craving.
Our Winner
Like the NCAA March Madness Tournament, the match-ups get better and better as you get deeper into the bracket. Either of these burgers would satisfy any burger craving you have, but Park Burger is a cut above. They’re moving on to the Elite Eight.
